Mission

The Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs takes charge of:

  • Ensuring the University's financial balances;
  • Optimizing financial resources for better allocation;
  • Ensuring the production and reliability of accounting information (general and analytical) according to current rules and standards;
  • Producing analytical statements by Establishment and Directorate;
  • Applying accounting rules specific to the UEMF's activity and legal status;
  • Ensuring the proper execution and integrity of cash transactions;
  • Ensuring the production of periodic and annual orders and establishing the record of closing accounts;
  • Ensuring compliance with the accounting procedures standards;
  • Participating in inventory operations and producing any accounting information relating to the University's assets;
  • Alerting about any fact that may alter the assets of the UMF (capital assets, customers, stocks, etc.);
  • Reconciliation of accounting data to business solutions;
  • Ensuring an effective management of financial components and IS;
  • Participating in audit and account precinct operations;
  • Coordination with funders for the financial components;
  • Ensuring the relevance of information from analytic accounting;
  • Developing and monitoring the implementation of the tools used for achieving the UEMF's goals;
  • Conducting periodic analyses of the execution of annual budgets and track performance indicators;
  • Establishing monthly reporting;
  • Contributing to the qualitative improvement of accounting information;
  • Providing support for the UEMF institutions with regard to budget information;
  • Contributing to all IS improvements;
  • Participating in the budgetary monitoring of grants;
  • Establishing and monitoring the implementation of the UEMF research projects;
  • Ensuring compliance of the UEMF with its fiscal and social responsibilities in accordance with current regulations;
  • Implementing the compliance rules to which the UEMF (Foreign Exchange Office, Customs, etc.) is subject.
