A conference on "The protection of personal data in the environment of people with disabilities" was held by Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, President of the CNDP (Commission Nationale de Contrôle de la Protection des Données à caractère personnel), at the University.


Mr. Omar Seghrouchni graduated in 1986 from the Mohammedia School of Electrical Engineering, with a specialisation in Automatic and Industrial Computing, and in 1987 from the University of Paris IX - Dauphine and the Ecole des Mines de Paris with a DEA in Mathematics and Automatic. 


Omar SEGHROUCHNI has managed several major transformation projects in both the private and public sectors, in France and Morocco, and more widely in Europe. He has accompanied the different waves of urban planning and corporate architecture. He has developed the concept of "governance of transformations".


Since 2010, he has been a member of the CNDP (National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection). His Majesty the King, may God assist him, appointed him, on 17 November 2018, President of this same Commission.
During his lecture at the UEMF, he spoke about the importance of data protection and the role played by the CNDP in this sense, especially in the era with the emergence of the digitalisation of society. 


The President was accompanied by a delegation from the CNDP, including members of the African delegation (Ms Patricia Poku, Ms Abigail Yeboah and Mr José Alegre) as well as other executives from the Commission. 


The conference was preceded by the signing of an agreement between the UEMF and the CNDP to promote partnerships and advanced training in the field of personal data processing and protection.
