Launch Workshop for the Project: Supporting Moroccan Companies through Industry 4.0


The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Digital Development Agency (ADD), and the "Fez Smart Factory" consortium, organized a workshop on the launch of the project "Supporting Moroccan Companies through Industry 4.0: From Establishing Smart Factories to Enhancing the Competitiveness and Innovation of Moroccan Companies" on Friday, September 22, 2023, in Rabat.

This project, developed by UNIDO in close collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and in consultation with the FSF ecosystem consortium and ADD, aims to create an innovative ecosystem that promotes the competitiveness and productivity of the Moroccan industry. The project includes :

i.    Creating an environment conducive to the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and methods.
ii.    Supporting the design and implementation of the smart pilot factory within the FSF ecosystem.
iii.    Assisting the FSF ecosystem in fulfilling its Industry 4.0-related missions.
iv.    Supporting the development of key skills in training, research and knowledge dissemination related to Industry 4.0.
v.    Accelerating the adoption and use of Industry 4.0 technologies by Moroccan companies.

This innovative project emphasizes an integrated participatory approach involving all stakeholders and aims to establish a support network among institutions from different countries to promote investments, funding, and partnerships in this field.

The workshop, marking the launch of Industry 4.0 project activities, was inaugurated by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in Charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform. It was attended by various public and private sector actors involved in this innovative field.
